Kevin Radloff – Software Engineer

Kevin Radloff
Like many professional software developers, Kevin Radloff’s passion for programming budded early. He began his hacking career by tinkering with eggdrop-based IRC bots in his teens. While studying computer science in college, he created a website for the communications department using HTML::Mason, a Perl-based web framework. Kevin particularly enjoys working with Ruby on Rails, and was one of the first contributors to the framework. He went on to work for the prominent language-learning company Rosetta Stone. Other languages he has experience with include C, C++, Java and Javascript.

Kevin’s favorite project to have worked on was a real-time matchmaking effort to connect two equally skilled players in a language-learning game while working at Rosetta Stone. In the future, he hopes to do something eminently cool with Android’s bi-directional notification system, which also uses real-time xmpp components. In his spare time, you can find him camera in hand as he looks for squirrels to photograph or playing RPGs and first-person shooters. There’s also a good chance that he’ll engage you in passionate debate about SQL tricks. Don’t say we didn’t warn you.
